Introduction
Solar street light adopts crystalline silicon solar cell as power supply, maintenance-free valve regulated sealed battery (colloidal battery) as storing electric energy, ultra-high bright LED lamps as light source, and controlled by intelligent charge/discharge controller. It is a more advanced alternative replacement for traditional public power lighting for street lights.
During the daytime, the solar panel will charge the battery. At night, when lighting is needed, the battery will start to supply power to the light for use. There is no need to lay complicated and expensive power supply lines in the installation, which makes it possible to install it in any environment in any site. Its battery uses natural light and can be recycled without external power supply, which can reduce energy consumption and help environmental protection. When the sunlight is not enough to a certain extent, the solar street light can automatically adjust the switch, and when the conditions are right, it can even be unguarded and work around the clock.
Solar street lights do not need to lay cables or additional AC power supply. The DC power supply greatly increases its stability and service life. In addition, small wind power generation equipment can be added as backup power supply. The normal service life of solar street light is about five to ten years. It also has high luminous efficiency. The voltage for the solar light is mostly 12 to 24 V, compared with common street light with 220V voltage, the stability and the safety are ensured. It can avoid the danger of electric shock and fire. Besides, the installation and maintenance are also very easy, which can decrease the maintenance cost. It can be widely used in the community, factories, tourist attractions, parking lots and other different kinds of places for different kinds of usage.
